Born in 1999 in the Caspian coastal city of Nowshahr, Hannaneh grew up surrounded by the sea’s gentle tides and the lush landscapes of northern Iran. Those who knew her remember a warm, kind-hearted young woman whose presence brought comfort to family and friends.

On September 21, 2022, Hannaneh was simply walking home after a routine dental appointment, moving along Sattar Khan Street near Nowshahr’s Azadi Square. But that ordinary afternoon unfolded amid the nationwide unrest that was sweeping the country. According to multiple reports, security forces opened fire during a crackdown on demonstrations, and Hannaneh was struck and killed instantly. She was only 23 years old, a life full of promise cut short in a moment that would forever be etched into her community’s memory.

Two days later, on September 23, 2022, she was laid to rest in Al-Javad Cemetery, on the road between Nowshahr and Chalus, where the mountains meet the sea. The mourners who gathered—family, friends, neighbors—brought with them both grief and quiet defiance. Their tears were not only for the loss of a daughter of Nowshahr, but for the countless young Iranians whose dreams were interrupted during that turbulent season.

For historians, Hannaneh’s story stands as a reminder of the human cost carried by a generation that found itself at the center of historic change. در روایت تاریخ پرفرازونشیب ایران و در دل تلاش مردم برای کرامت و آزادی، نام حنانه کیا کجوری به‌عنوان یکی از چهره‌های جوانی ثبت شده است که زندگی‌اش، هم زیبایی انسان ایرانی را نشان می‌دهد و هم بهای سنگینی را که این ملت در دوران پرتلاطم پرداخت کرده است.
حنانه در سال ۱۳۷۸ در نوشهر، شهر ساحلی آرام و سرسبز کنار دریای خزر، چشم به جهان گشود. خانواده و دوستانش او را به مهربانی، صمیمیت و دل‌آرامی می‌شناختند؛ جوانی که آینده‌ای روشن پیش روی خود داشت.

در ۳۰ شهریور ۱۴۰۱، تنها پس از یک ویزیت عادی دندان‌پزشکی، در مسیر بازگشت به خانه و در حوالی میدان آزادی نوشهر، سرنوشت او در میان خیزش سراسری کشور رقم خورد. بنا بر گزارش‌ها، در جریان سرکوب اعتراضات، نیروهای امنیتی به سوی مردم شلیک کردند و حنانه در همان لحظه جان باخت. او تنها ۲۳ سال داشت؛ جوانی در آغاز مسیر زندگی، که ناگهان خاموش شد.

دو روز بعد، در اول مهر ۱۴۰۱، پیکر او در آرامستان الجواد میان نوشهر و چالوس، جایی که کوه به دریا می‌رسد، به خاک سپرده شد. خانواده، دوستان و همشهریانش با دلی آکنده از اندوه و خشم آرام در مراسم او گرد آمدند. اشک‌هایشان تنها برای دختر جوان نوشهر نبود؛ برای تمام جوانانی بود که در آن روزگار پرتلاطم، رؤیاهایشان ناتمام ماند.
